The high voltage Rajasthan elections intensify

As the campaigning for the high voltage Rajasthan elections intensifies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and BSP chief Mayawati have all pitched in what can be called an all high profile rally competition. A total of seventeen meetings and rallies have been addressed by the supremos of all major political parties in Rajasthan.

In the high voltage, Rajasthan elections have already seen the start of accusations and insults being flung at opposing sides. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the front, leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party have attacked the Congress. The attack is based on the Party's stand on terrorism, tribal development and naxalism.

Who did what in the run up to the elections

The high voltage Rajasthan elections are also seeing a slew of promises from politicians, the chief one being a promise of loan waivers for the farmers by Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has, however, shown a semblance of decency in the deteriorating political conditions where he requested his party workers to not use any “bad word” against the Chief Minister of Rajasthan as well as the Prime Minister of India.

The leaders have gone all out with Narendra Modi visiting Kota, Dungarpur and Bhilwara while Rahul Gandhi visited Pushkar and the dargah of Ajmer Sharif before he addressed a rally in Pokhran, Jodhpur and Jalore. Yogi Adityanath pitched in his part when he addressed rallies in Nagaur, Sikar, Churu, Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts. Mayawati, on the other hand, chose Jhunjunu and Jaipur to conduct her rallies.

While both Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of the vote of every individual, both of them seem confident of the fact it will be their respective party that will win the high voltage Rajasthan elections and form a government in the state.

The Prime Minister while speaking in a rally in Kota said, "Your votes will empower Modi. Your votes will bring changes in the country. Broadband network reached one lakh villages, 2.5 to 3 lakh km of the optical-fibre line was laid, 12 crore LPG connections, better roads were given in four-and-a-half years of the BJP government at the Centre. Your one vote has provided speed to the country. It has the power to change the country and shape its future,”

The two hundred member Rajasthan Assembly is to go to the polls for the election of a new government on the 7th of December. The results of the high voltage Rajasthan elections will be announced on the 11th of December.

India vs Australia T 20 series: All You Need to Know | India Alive

India and Australia will go head-to-head for the first time ever in the T20I format. The live telecast of the India vs Australia T20 series will start at 1:20 pm on November 21 on Wednesday. The match can be seen live on the Sony Pictures Network and live streaming will be available on Sony Liv.

Australia has mostly been poor across formats. They have been unable to cope with the constant changes in search of stability. They have already lost series against England, Pakistan and South Africa, apart from a tri-series in Zimbabwe involving Pakistan. The only series they won - across formats - after the infamous South Africa tours was a one - off  T20I match against UAE.

Australia’s home summer started with losses to South Africa in the three-match ODI series and a lone T20I. Things won’t get any easier for them. That is because they are now going up against the Indian team. India has been demolishing opponents in T20Is over the last two years.

Since the World T20 2016, India have won 24 of their 34 matches and lost 9 matches. This includes victories in 10 of the 13 series in the period. The latest of these victories was in the West Indies. It was a three-nil whitewash of the home team. The Indian team did it without Virat Kohli, who is back for the Australia T20Is. This has made the Indian side much stronger for the India vs Australia T20 series.

All eyes in this tour will be on the four tests. These tests will be sandwiched between the T20s and ODIs. There is no immediate major T20 event in sight currently. The T20 series will be more about preparing for the bigger Tests by beginning positively. This has given the Indian batsmen a window for some fun and enjoyment. It will allow them to begin on a good batting rhythm.

Do not miss the India vs Australia T20 series that will be airing today. Stay tuned for more cricket and sports news and may the best team win.
